Malabo Commitments Training Workshop held on 28th March, 2022 at
Peacock hotel in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The training workshop included
different participants from different relevant Institutions including the
Tanzania Agriculture Research Institute (TARI), Tanzania Livestock Research
Institute (TALIRI), Tanzania Fisheries Research Institute(TAFIRI), Tanzania
Forestry Research Institute(TAFORI), Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) ,
Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) , Ministries of Livestock and fisheries (MLF),
National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), Tanzania Meteorological Authority (TMA),
and the media.
The objectives of this training workshop were to:
➢ Familiarise national key staff from Tanzania in basic Knowledge Management and data capture guidelines
➢ Strengthening capacities of journalists/reporters to support awareness creation/ advocacy on reporting on Malabo commitments and CCARDESA themes.
➢ Strengthen the understanding and monitoring of Malabo Declaration of Key staff in the government ministries in Tanzania
➢ Support the creation of a Community of Practice (CoP) that will support KM activities
