Students From Saint Augustine University Visit TARI Ukiriguru Centre

.Forty-eight (48) Bachelor degree students (38- Male & 10-Female) in their third year of schooling, from Saint Augustine university of Tanzania recently visited TARI Ukiriguru to learn different agricultural research activities being carried out at the Center.

During their one-day tour, they were trained on how technologies pertained to good agronomic practices of cassava, sweet potato and cotton are carried out. They also got to know issues relating to how TARI contributes the growth of the growth of national economy. The training was well organized and coordinated by technology transfer and partnership unit (TTP-Unit) aiming at creating knowledge and skills of these students to become highly skilled agricultural experts to bring about an agricultural revolution in the country.
