TARI Ifakara starts the 2023-2024 farming season. In the run up to the 2023/2024 farming season, in order to reach out to farmers and agricultural stakeholders, TARI Ifakara center has started organizing Trials and Demonstration plots of the best rice seeds in different parts of the country. Researchers in the village of Njage, Mlimba Council, Kilombero District. The main goal of these tests is to discover the best rice seeds and evaluate them in different areas of the country where rice is grown. Also introducing and distributing the best Rice Seeds that have already been released such as TXD 306 (SARO5), TARI RIC1, TARI RIC2, TARI RIC3 and Komboka.
