TARI-Ifakara welcomed visitors from International Rice Research Institute Dr. Shalabh Dixit (IRRI HQ Phillipine), Dr. Ajay P(IRRI-ESA Nairobi) Dr. Rosemary M (IRRI-ESA Nairobi) and Mr George Iranga (IRRI ESA- Dar es salaam.0n 09/04/2022.They learned about various research activities at the Centre and the way forward for future Collaboration between the two institutions (TARI and IRRI)

After receiving the report of the Centre from Centre Manager, Dr Theodore Kessy Centre Coordinator of Research and Innovation led the exercise in guiding them through the activities takeing place at the Centre where they visited to See TARI Rice Improved varieties. also they visited Rice seed bank that used as parents and germplasma ,screen house, demonstartion plots, experimental plots and seed production fields
