Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture responsible for Crops Development and Food Security, Dr. Hussein Mohamed Omar visited TARI Naliendele Center on 23.02.2025
After arriving at TARI Naliendele Center, the Deputy Permanent Secretary received a brief briefing on the Center's research activities, plans and various challenges which was given by Mr. Joseph Nzunda acting center Director
Dr. Hussein also visited the cashew seedling nursery and congratulated TARI Naliendele Center for being able to produce a large number of seedlings this season and distribute them free of charge to farmers within several District councils through the Tanzania Cashew Board.
Also, the Deputy Secretary-General after reviewing the various work exhibitions of the Researchers had the opportunity to speak with the TARI Naliendele Staffs and congratulated them for the good job they are doing. He also explained to them that the Ministry of Agriculture has high expectations for the Researchers in achieving the set short-term and long-term goals.
