Objectives of this project is 

(i) To introduce superior pre-bred materials from Kenya to Uganda, Tanzania and Ethiopia

(ii) To support the establishment of pre-breeding programs in Uganda, Tanzania and Ethiopia (UTE)

(iii) To establish the true extent of genetic diversity within the East Africa finger millet collections through a pan-genome analysis

(iv) To create a digital database of the existing non-redundant material in each of the respective gene-banks.
