Tanzania Agricultural Research Institute

Tanzania Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH)  organized  two days workshop on reporting science, technology and innovation for scientists, journalists and innovators. The training objective was to equip the participants with essential skills in reporting quality information to the key stakeholders in science, technology and innovation. The COSTECH aimed to popularize  the available technologies and innovation in Tanzania.

The media tour was organized to learn a number of technologies developed at research institutes in Arusha Region. More than 40 journalists visited TARI Selian Center to learn the research activities and conduct interviews with researchers on specific crops and soil management .

During the visit, the Director for Knowledge Management Directorate at the COSTECH, Dr. Philibert Luhunga appreciated the efforts done by the center in developing agricultural technologies. In encouraging and strengthening close collaboration with journalists,
