TARI Selian Center in collaboration with Alliance Biodiversity International and CIAT(ABC) organized a one day training for extension services staff from Siha District (Kilimanjaro), Arusha DC, Meru DC and Arumeru (Ausha) on Triadic comparison of technologies (Tricot). The Tricot is the important tool in evaluation of technologies disseminated to the farmers. The tool is differ slightly from Participatory Variety Selection (PVS) . The assessment of the technology is done by ClimMob the specialized software. The ClimMob software is digital, representative, fast, scientific and simple to operate. Through Tricot tool farmers can compare three types of technologies and rank them accordingly. The farmers assessment on the the chosen technologies will enable scientists to reach accurate and precise conclusion on the characteristics of the technology.
