Tanzania Agricultural Research Institute

TARI Headquarters have conducted performance and accountability training for public servants. The training was conducted on 30.03.2023 for the employees of TARI Ifakara Center by the Administration Manager from TARI Headquarters Ms. Editruda Maseko and Administrative Officer Mr. Victor Rweyendela. Ms. Maseko said that the training was meant to remind and give more understanding to new employees and aims to bring efficiency and responsibility to the public servant to bring productivity to TARI as Institution.

The topics covered in the training include the following:

• i.  Changes in positions for employees according to the structure
• ii. Basic rights and responsibilities for public servants
• iii Work ethics in public service
• iv Rights of Employer and Employee in Public Service.

In addition, Ms. Maseko had opportunity to listen to employee’s problems and challenges they face at their work place.  The Manager of TARI Ifakara Centre, Dr. Emmanuel Mgonja thanked TARI Headquarters for the training which has increased the work morale of TARI staff at TARI Ifakara. He also thanked all the staff who attended the training and for their cooperation.
