TARI’s Director for Research and Innovation Dr. Deusdedith Mbanzibwa has paid a visit to the Ukiriguru research center to observe various technologies available at the center as well as conveying a message from the Director General Dr. Thomas Bwana.

While at the centre Dr. Mbanzibwa was welcomed by Ukiriguru centre Director Dr. Paul Saidia, who companied him in observing technologies that was displayed by researchers in various crops section including cotton, cassava, potatoes, rice, and post-harvest unit.

After observing and learn how each technology works, Dr. Mbanzibwa spoke to TARI Ukiriguru staff and encouraged them to increase creativity in their research including coming up with the technology that can operate through Artificial Intelligence.
He has also emphasized cooperation among all TARI centers, especially in research fields.
On his part, Ukiriguru center director Dr. Paul Saidia, commended Dr. Mbanzibwa for visiting the center and pledged to continue implementing the recommendations and instructions from leaders.
