Cotton Farmers are proud of a new cotton sowing spacing (60cm-inter row spacing & 30cm intra row spacing) as it has proved a yield of 1300-1500 kgs/Acre unlike 350-500 kgs of cotton/Acre when the former sowing spacing( 90cm-inter row spacing & 45cm intra row spacing) were used with UKM 08 seed cotton variety. With this new cotton sowing spacing the table below shows exactly the yield expected when all good agronomic practices are followed:-
